X1 is a full stack aircraft program.

There are no shortcuts to flight. By completing the full work of aircraft development with X1, Heart has built the foundation for ES-30.

  • Clean sheet

    Clean-sheet design

Designed a clean-sheet aircraft configured around electric propulsion and electrified systems, taking a novel airframe from first principles to flight.

  • Flight sciences

    Flight sciences

Validated novel aircraft geometry through simulation and physical testing, developing and verifying aerodynamics in-house.

  • Laser level in X1.

    Components

Developed core components - designing and building structures, systems, and parts for electric aviation at commercial scale.

  • Systems integration

    Systems integration

Integrated aircraft systems, bringing electric propulsion, batteries, power electronics, flight controls, and avionics together into a flight-ready aircraft.

  • Structural test

    Structural test

Tested the airframe to its limits under real load conditions, verifying the structural design, build quality, and materials integrity required for safe flight.

  • Heart Propulsion Testing at Oxnard Facility

    Propulsion test

Validated all-electric propulsion under flight mission conditions, verifying performance from motor to thrust and proving out propulsion architecture.

  • Flight test operations

    Flight test operations

Established flight test function, putting in place the people, procedures, and analytics required to safely fly and learn from Heart’s prototype aircraft.

  • Airworthiness

    Airworthiness

Earned FAA Special Airworthiness Certificate, establishing engagement model, compliance approach, and working relationship with the agency.

  • X1 on the runway

    Flight

Set to fly the X1 demonstrator, taking the experimental aircraft airborne and bringing Heart’s full stack of aircraft development into the air.

  • Heart customer engagement.

    Customer engagement

Activated airline customers, using the aircraft to deepen partner engagement, gather operational feedback, and accelerate commercial momentum.

Anders Forslund, founder & CEO of Heart Aerospace

Lower-cost air travel starts with a new kind of aircraft.

We are not just designing a new aircraft; we are engineering a fundamentally lower-cost model for aviation.

By combining electrification, software-defined systems, and modern manufacturing, Heart Aerospace is building aircraft designed to make air travel more economically sustainable at scale.

X1 is the proof. ES-30 is the product.

ES-30 is the 30-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft X1 was designed to enable.
